Method 1: System Settings (Windows 10/11)
Open Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy. Toggle "Use a proxy server" to On. Enter the proxy address and port. Click Save. This applies the proxy to all system traffic.
Method 2: Browser Settings (Chrome)
In Chrome, go to Settings > System > Open proxy settings. This opens the Windows proxy dialog. Enter your proxy details. For individual browser proxy, install a proxy extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Method 3: Command Line (netsh)
Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Run: netsh winhttp set proxy proxy-server="proxy:port". This sets the proxy for system-level HTTP requests. To reset: netsh winhttp reset proxy.
Verifying Your Proxy Works
After setting up, visit MasarWeb's IP Checker to confirm your IP has changed. Check that the displayed IP matches your proxy server's location. If it shows your real IP, the proxy is not working correctly.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
If the proxy doesn't work: verify the address and port are correct, check if your firewall blocks the proxy port, try a different proxy server, and ensure the proxy protocol matches (HTTP vs SOCKS).
